Miss Keaja Briona-Desha Stokes, age 33 of Wilson, departed this life on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 2:00PM at Word Tabernacle Church,  821 Word Plaza, Rocky Mount, NC with Bishop Sherman Blandon officiating. Interment will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery , 5377 Boulden Road, Nashville, NC . Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00PM-2:00PM prior to services.

 

Keaja is survived by: her mother, Shundale Stokes of Wilson; her father, Dexter Ghist (Deborah) of Nashville; her children, Darrius Young, Dashaad Young and Dakari Young all of the home; siblings, MiEsha Drake, Khamya Stokes,  DeAysia Stokes, Elisha Middleton all of Wilson, Seth Middleton of Atlanta, DeAndre Ghist, Edwin Encarnacion, and Alondra Encarnacion of MD; grandparents, Debbie Stokes of Wilson, William Cooper of Colorado, Delois Brinkley Ghist and David D. Ghist, II both of Nashville; niece, MiKaylee Lynch and nephew, Dylan White of Wilson; special friend, Chester Williams of Elm City; a host of other relatives and friends.
